Six months old

That's right, the little man is already 6 months old. I can't believe it. I just don't know where the time has gone. One day I was a miserable pregnant lady and the next I had a baby who's half a year old. It's insane.
He started to cut his first tooth today. It's just barely poking out. I was rubbing his gums this morning and felt something pokey. I looked in, and sure enough there is this little line of white making it's way through a swollen gum. it's exciting and sad. The gummy smile days are coming to an end, but at the same time, it's his first tooth. It's amazing how every milestone makes me excited and miserable. I love it all, but I'm already missing the newborn days and know that the infant days are on their way out altogether. It's a lot of fun, though. I have to say, you really don't know what it's like to be a parent and love someone until you are and you do. And it amazes me how much more I love him as time goes on. It's very cool. :)
The tooth was pretty much my big announcement. Not much else has changed. He can sit up with the best of them (he still topples over though), he loves to blow his raspberries, and sleep is still a distant memory. But, since being in our own place, he has been in bed by 8 (though only for 45-90 minutes at a time). I know that being in a new place, in his own room (even if only for half the night), and teething isn't helping the situation. I am going to start the methods in "the No Cry Sleep Solution" next week or so. I want to give him time to adjust to his new surroundings before I try anything on him. I don't think I could expect any kind of positive results under these circumstances anyway.
